El test Toeic Bridge no se aprueba o desaprueba, solamente es un reflejo de tus conocimientos de inglés. Los resultados del examen no afectarán de ninguna manera tus notas, los beneficios son por rendirlo, no por los resultados que obtengas.


¿Qué es el examen TOEIC Bridge?

El test TOEIC® Bridge mide la aptitud para la comprensión oral y escrita de inglés desde el nivel básico al intermedio

El test TOEIC® Bridge es un método de evaluación muy similar al TOEIC® (Test of English for Internacional Communications) excepto que se utiliza en niveles básico a intermedio. Es una prueba válida, fiable y reconocida internacionalmente.

¿Quién utiliza el test TOEIC Bridge y para qué? 

  • Profesionales que necesitan un nivel elemental de inglés en su trabajo. 
  • Compañías que desarrollan programas de formación y desean tanto evaluar como animar a los alumnos con niveles de inglés bajos. 
  • Estudiantes de idiomas en el nivel debutante. 
  • Escuelas de educación secundaria y escuelas técnicas que necesitan un método externo e imparcial para evaluar el idioma. 
  • Como prueba de evaluación del nivel de los estudiantes en diferentes etapas del curso. 
  • Como criterio de calidad de la enseñanza. De los resultados obtenidos por determinados grupos de alumnos pueden extraerse conclusiones sobre la calidad del curso realizado

El test Bridge motiva a los principiantes a profundizar en el estudio del idioma.

La versión convencional (en formato papel) del test consiste en 100 preguntas de tipo test. Dura aproximadamente una hora y es bastante más sencillo que el TOEIC®.

Una vez que los alumnos alcanzan la máxima puntuación del test Bridge, están preparados para presentarse al test TOEIC®.

 

Estructura del Examen

Sección 1: Comprensión oral (con soporte audio). Las preguntas se basan en: 

  • Fotografías 
  • Módulos pregunta-respuesta 
  • Diálogos breves 
  • Esta sección consta de 50 preguntas a completar en 25 minutos.

Sección 2: Comprensión escrita, que incluye: 

  • Frases incompletas 
  • Comprensión de textos 
  • Esta sección tiene 50 preguntas a responder en 35 minutos.

La puntuación (“score report”) corresponde a un puntaje final entre 20 y 180 puntos (de 10 a 90 puntos por cada sección del test).

También en el examen se incluyen notas parciales que ayudan a identificar: 

  • En gramática: capacidad para identificar y utilizar estructuras gramaticales simples. 
  • En vocabulario: capacidad para utilizar y comprender palabras y enunciados empleados en el inglés conversacional cotidiano. 
  • En comprensión oral: capacidad para comprender inglés hablado en diferentes tonalidades, entender palabras por su contexto, diferenciar palabras de pronunciación similar, etc. 
  • En comprensión escrita: comprensión de textos y diferenciación de sus secciones.

Reading Comprehension

Directions: The questions in this part of the test are based on reading materials such as notices, letters,

forms, and advertisements. Choose the one best answer, (A), (B), (C), or (D), to each question. Then mark your answer on your answer sheet.

 

 

 

What will happen on June 5?

(A) The workers will take a day off.

(B) The cafeteria will open.

(C) The prices will go down.

(D) The school will close.

 

 

The notice says that the cafeteria is closed and will open again on June 5. Therefore, you should choose

answer (B).

The sentence should read, “Please turn off your computer at the end of the day.” Therefore, you should

(A) There are too many passengers.

(B) The bus is having engine trouble.

(C) There is a lot of traffic.

(D) The bus took the wrong road.

 

The best answer to the question is choice (B), “The bus is having engine trouble.” Therefore, you should

choose answer (B).
